Since my neighbours decided that the obvious next step for their family was to rear chickens I have been living on Old McDondald’s farm. There’s one of them in particular that keeps clearing it’s throat every other second, and I can’t help but imagine that that’s the one that crows the most often. Because why else will you be clearing throat like Davido after a concert.
The weekend has been one of those good ones. You know, the ones where you slept a lot, but you also did the things you said you’d do and somehow 24 hours lengthened itself to accommodate copious tv time and time for mindless rigmarole. It is Sunday night and I truly don’t want the weekend to end. Yet Monday is welcome. I am expecting her joyfully.
Highlights from my weekend include starting and finishing House of Ninjas on Netflix. I don’t know how I feel about the show yet, purely because I take characters on shows very seriously so it’s hard to watch them do dumb things - there were some dumb things done in this show (spoiler alert). I also studied, and well, I think.
Drum roll please *insert drum roll… I did chores. No one will ever know the magnitude of relief I feel when I’m able to tick this off. We hate each other and when we don’t have to see each other for a good three four days or even longer. Fantastic.
A major goal in my life is to outsource housekeeping and landscaping of all forms.
A short weekend but somehow, I also wrote a submission for last week’s prompt on inktippeddreams. Check out the piece here
I sang today. I’m alone at home again, and it wasn’t until I had repeated a line a couple times before I realised I was actually singing. At the top of my lungs. With that face scrunching thing you do when you want to hit a high note. It has been… possibly years since I last did that. Truly and with reckless abandon. It was fun.
This was a fun weekend.
How was your weekend? (you can respond in the comments)
Thank you for reading.

Love that you were able to tick off chores from your to-do list. It's quite the feat for a lot of us. After this weekend, I definitely agree with outsourcing housekeeping if you have the resources. It's such a waste of time. Sorry.
